Having seen Dougs bowl I had to try putting some acrylic into a pen. My initial thoughts were to just put a dot at the back of the clip but then got carried away with the nib end too. The fittings are blue and I think I might have just put too much in. MKII should be better and I'm sure someone will like this anyway.

I like the concept, I think more sober acrylic would be better or matching lengths at each end to give it balance.

The round inlay at the clip end would have suited the pen better and not looked out of place in my opinion .. But over the years i have found it very hard to mix and match Acrylic with wood for making pens... Especially multi coloured Acrylic. But i also don my hat Paul for the those who do not try do not learn, or summat like that ...

Take a guess
I really like the dot, it`s an idea I`ve been musing over along with a few other shapes.

Great effort Paul  if you don`t try these things you`ll never progress, keep experimenting mate.

Paul,

Using timber with timber is safer and careful choices work well, amalgamating timber with a more even mix seems to be the ticket. Like the dot though.

Kind regards Peter.
