On Wednesday i was asked to bring in a few wooden pens, both rollerballs and fountain pens for a guy who wanted a couple for gifts. He said at the time he was most interested in the fountain pens that i had. Today he visits me where i had on show for him 4 rollerballs, 3 Sedona, 1 Omega and 2 fountain pens which were both Omega's. Now for the past few months my biggest sellers have been the Omega's, along with a trickle of old Slimlines that i have made in the past (Need to make more of these) .. I was sure he would pick the Omega's due to the past few months, but he picked up a Sedona with a Olivewood blank, put it to one side, picked up all the others then chose another Sedona with a Cocobolo blank .. Just goes to show that each customer has their own mind set of what kit they like ..

I have found that also. I have turned pens in timbers such as ebony and purpleheart, which I consider to be pretty bland and think nobody will want them and they go first. No rhyme nor reason at times!

Its always good to give them a choice Jim which is why I carry pens that I don't like but someone will. The Sedona used to be my favourite pen before the Omega and I still like it and use one myself and have done for a few years now. On a sideline, here is a picture of it. It has ca finish and is thrown on my desk and has been used most days for several years. I haven't tarted it up at all for this photo, this is straight off the desk... Sorry for hijacking your thread Jim
