Were you bitten by someone from UK Drills dog as a child Alex. You seem to have a down on them. They are not the best drills in the world but if they are all you can afford they do the job. Not everyone can afford a full set of Dormers at over £70 for a set of 1-13 in 0.5 increments.
You are not wrong, they are better quality, and if you are making hundreds of pens a week then they make sense, but an amateur who is only drilling wood and plastic will get by perfectly adequately with a cheaper set.
