Oh no, its you....:rolling:

I will fill in the blank bits.

I have known Mark for over 40 years, worked in some very dangerous conditions and needed to support each other.. So he is someone that I have spent many, many hours with and trust wholeheartedly.

Hence you may see a bit of banter between us from time to time.

Anyway,

Mark is "ex" Able seaman (goodness know why he was able as I have never seen him able:winking:) Navy and served on a few little boats here and there..

When he "jumped ship" so to speak he came to see how the real world worked and never looked back.

Marks experience with wood turning was nearly zero until he was offered the chance of getting some reasonably quality gear at a knock down price.

He hadn't even got a shed to house it in so had to extend his man cave to accommodate it all.

So once he had grasped the ins and outs of pen turning he came over for some tuition (Which he didn't really need much) as he had grasped most of the basics himself.

I have seen his pens and TBH they are really well done and has made an excellent start in the pen turning addiction. We just need to see some on here to prove it vanman Mark..

Anyway, enough from me.

Welcome to the forum Mark and join in with the banter as there are a few ex service men on here and will no doubt join in with you as well.

There is no stupid questions only stupid answers.. So ask away.

The only thing I would say is search the forum 1st as the forum has been here a few years and will no doubt find the question already answered.

Enjoy your new found skills

Hello Mark

As Mark (Flexi) stated, there is no such thing as a stupid question, only stupid answers. No one knows better than I the steepness of the learning curve, but you are in the right place here.
There are some very talented people use this forum, all are willing to help.........the banter is pretty funny at times too. I love it.

Cheers
Frederick
