Hi all
I am not a wood turner and I dont have a lathe ( although my hubby has a metal turning lathe) Not sure whether his lathe canbe used for turning wood. Anyway I have joined this forum as I have seen some youtube videos etc and started making polymer clay pens using wood turners pen kits. I have made my own polymer clay canes and have purchased a mandrel and the bushings to sand the blanks down to, after clay is baked. Very new to doing this and see that other members on this forum also are using clay for their pens, so hoping to get some tips and ideas, and share what I have done too.

Welcome aboard Stephanie, you’ll get plenty of help here if you ask. Metal work lathes are used by a couple of turners on here.

Hi Stephanie welcome. I use a metal turning lathe for all my pen turning. I use a four jaw scroll chuck. And a pen mandrel of course.

Hi Stephanie - welcome to the fold.

As far as posting pictures is concerned, I think you're already good do go. Looking forward to seeing some of your pens - we don't see enough polymer clay work on here.
