I've been turning a miniature pot. Will stick it on the appropriate forum when I've taken some pics.

Not slow at all Phil. I spent today preparing blanks for making bird houses and started to turn the bottom part. Also watched the missus mow the lawn while I made a cuppa or two I did let her take it into the garden so she did not have to walk so far to drink it.
Then this afternoon sat at the table cutting out some stencils for some of the decoration on a couple of 18" platters I will be turning soon(well hopefully if my face plate ring is at the club Saturday).
The day has passed very quick well it feels like it

Been busy fitting out this new toy with the usual essentials. Hoped to get away for a couple of days to try it out before we're off to Canada but babysitting duties are going to put paid to that. Going to be August now.:sob:

At least there won't be any traffic jams caused by me for a couple of months.

The supervisor was present to make sure all done correctly. :funny:

Malingering in hospital bleeding from strange places. This after a day of bookings for operations and proceedures. Never the less released at 1.00 am to come home pending yet another proceedure. Whilst the heart specialist does not want to see me for as year , a bloke in the waiting room turned up with a special shirt with two tiny sleeves where shoulders are with miniature hands convincing me just when life banks up on you there are others bravely facing the world as best they can.

My earlier call to OOO convinced me to drive myself into the local hospital, nothing like being released in the wee small hrs with You can go home now.

Anyway up and away, shopping today so much to accomplish. Minus 4 degrees C.

Glad to be mobile once more.........Peter.

Nothing slow about your day Bob, beautiful supervisor. Enjoy Canada tis a beautiful offshoot of the Britain you know, at the Worlds Fair in Nth America near Canada I was very comfortable with the Canadian cheerfulness and friendship I experienced in my journey into Canada also the people who staffed the Canadian Exhibition. So much to look forward to in your new retirement as you test drive your new van as well.

Kind regards Peter and safe travel mate.

Yep we love Canada. This is a return trip as we were there in 2013 when the major floods happened in Calgary and Banff areas which made us divert to other places so this time we're starting in Calgary, visiting places new and others we enjoyed last time. Got longer on Vancouver Island this time as well followed by a cruise along the inside passage to Alaska then a few days in Vancouver and home. It's 5 weeks but from experience passes very quickly.
Last time in Vancouver it was Canada day which was great fun, Was also canabis day as well though I didn't partake of any of the freebies on offer. :rolling:

Caravans have moved on a lot since I last owned one. Yours looks fantastic Bob. By essentials, I assume you mean optics, lemon slicers, ice trays - that sort of thing.

Yea, reason it's a big van is 'cos I refuse to sleep anywhere near the dog and the missus won't let the mutt sleep in the awning in case someone steals it, she probably suspects I'd pay somebody to do that - as if.

I used to work in the industry but that was 35 years ago when they were made like model aircraft using 1" x 1" timber stapled together, these days it's all bonded and prefabricated. This one has central heating, power shower, electric flush bog and separate fixed double bed in an end bedroom though the front has 2 singles or double in case I get chucked out to the huffy bed. Certainly not caravanning as I remember it.

edit: Yep, the glasses are already in the cocktail cabinet just waiting for the bottle. :funny:

Shouldn't take too long for the knee to heal Dave, they're much quicker these days. I'm going to need one in the next couple of years, just hanging on as long as possible.

I put your photo on the dart board down the pub. Sort of a voodoo thing. Pretty small target, but Bullseye none the less!! Are you sore?
