I went to Axi today only to find it closed...it closes at 2 on a Saturday...I suppose because they have a big online presence they will be closing earlier now..

Nuneaton closed and now nothing in the Midlands, I suspect from the trend and what they've been doing over the last few years they will switch to Web-based business except maybe something at HQ/Axminster...
It's a sad trend as Axi was what got me back into woodworking, passing the store and went in, curiosity got the better of me, and with hardly any physical stores around, I wonder how non-trading or non-commercial people will get attracted to be hobbyists or know these stores exist......
Not quite there yet but I think whilst they helped reduce cost initially, the internet will be the death knell of many hobbies and businesses eventually......
