Two Epsilons; one in Ebony and one in Jack Daniels with the Royal Engineers Badge. I'm still struggling with casting water slide so I thought I'd have a go using a different method, putting it onto wood. I'm very pleased with how the JD one came out but wanted to put some on the Ebony as well but it doesn't show up so its just a straight forward Ebony Epsilon.

Good jobs, nowt wrong with this decal. Have you tried leaving the decal on for a week or two before casting?

I think I've tried just about everything John, I have a small mountain of failed blanks... but I still haven't given up.

Love em Paul ! You know my affection to the Royal Engineers with my son doing 22 years in the Regiment. The Sappers pen is a beaut.

Recent conversations support your method Paul the result is on the board here like both pens. Les is a master of the transfer he could be a help.

A great effect with the decal on the wood Paul. I think I might even prefer it to the plastics you've shown in the recent past.

I have asked Les and he doesn't do anything different to what I've tried but mine just don't work... Ah well I'll get there eventually

This is much nicer than ones straight onto a tube in my opinion Phil but it is limited and I can't put some of the decals I want on to wood. I need to be able to do both.

You keep saying they pose a problem for you, but I haven't seen it. I have zero personal experience of doing it myself, so I'm no help at all, but it doesn't seem you have any trouble applying the decals - not judging by the photos you post at any rate. Am I missing something? (it wouldn't be the first time!)

I'll have to put the pick up of all the blanks that have failed Phil... and I still haven't had a 100% success with one cast yet (one with a decal that is). No matter what I've tried the decal seperates from the tube. I've still got one or two more things I haven't tried yet but need to wait until my room is ready to test out my theories which will hopefully be this weekend coming if I can finish the wiring.

That's it Paul - torture the buggers in to submission. The national grid is on standby. Make sure your marigolds are up to it. 100 megawatts per tube should do it.
