i amsked a similar question on the stand for the 1015, which seemed to get favourable responses, except for the price.

Take a guess
On the bright side Jim you could hang a couple of bags of sand over the mid rail if it does want to wander, the clubs axminster mini lathe stand is of a similar design & is woeful, 2 concrete blocks suspended across the feet has helped a lot.

A great opportunity Jim to customise your own stand by making to include special features, I fitted an old drawer to hold chisels etc constructed mine like a table brought the drive motor on the top behind the lathe, tons of room to put useful things needed and room for my legs and feet unhindered. But then I have room and sit high to turn.

Peter.

I have one. It's lightweight and should be way heavier. It's also not tall enough.

Well i picked it up today, i was getting a feel for it on the display lathe in the store which i thought felt sturdy enough .. I won't be turning anything big anymore so hopefully this will be sufficient ..
