Well done, it looks a nice pen. I've used the same combos in the past and the chrome/blue go well together!

A suggestion to try, Graeme - if you deal with Timberbits then get a stick of PB005 (deep-blue with black lines) - this too, with chrome really steals the show.

Bob.

Nice pen and blank. I have a couple of these on the bench waiting to be finished and I even paint the inside of the hole they can be so translucent when turned. I use this set of acrylic paints Royal & Langnickel Acrylic Artist Paint Set | eBay:thumbs:

I would have thought would have been a car spray paint or summat.. how quick does this stuff dry and how do you paint the inside of the tube??

Great looking pen, nicely finished..

I use acrylic artists paints.

You can pick them up from most of the discount stores, Aldi, lidl or the B&M's of the world.

I only paint the tubes but I also mix a little bit of paint in the epoxy mix when mixing the glue just to help colour it a little. Never had any problems with it going off so have always done it that way..

I usually paint my tubes the day prior to gluing up.

Hope this helps..

The only comment I would make is get rid of that background, the fold in the paper distracts from the pen.. :winking:

It isn't quick drying especially in low temperature. I bring painted items inside at the mo. I use an artist's long bristle brush, the sort they use for sign writing lettering. It's really awkward trying to get an even coat inside the tube but if you're using a very transparent blank you'll still see the glue on a painted tube if you don't paint the blank as well.

I know [emoji6] was meant to be a quick pic for a lass at work to show her it was ready as she bought the blank..

Everything to like Graeme about the pen I appreciate your choice of background was haste we all get caught up life has this habit the colours are appealing as is the kit. All the best with that pen mate the one you showed is the one I liked.
