Jr Gent in London Plane

This afternoons effort, a Jr Gent Rollerball with gold plating dressed in London Plane, with CA finish

I just love ~London Plane and that is a great example lovely pen, well finished.

I have a couple of them recently.. Spot on and a really nice bit of LP.

Out of interest, did the nib screw in the the main barrel ok? I have a couple of kits and both don't fit very well and had to tap them out again..

The Jr Gent kit was all ok on this occasion Eamonn but I have taken to inspecting them all very carefully before I use them due to past problems, I'm also being careful when pressing the components together

Yes London Plane is a top timber, shows that we dont always have to use exotic timbers to get good effects, got my last lot from lignaterrae excellent quality, will have to get some more.

I agree but I have quite a few kits with gold plating, I tend to use them on the lighter woods such as London Plane, Oaks, Ash etc

I havent had a bad bit of London Plane timber yet Jim, all have been top quality and nice and easy to cut, drill, turn & finish
