Evening all. I have been in talks with my manufacturer with regards to the Jr Gent kits.

For the people who have already purchased the Omega.

Would you like to see a similar fine/ sharpe thread on the Jr Gent?

I notice that some companies sell the postable end piece as an addition. Would you prefer I did the same and gave people the option?

The option would be a b good idea Dan the only issue I have with the J/G is the quality of the gold and chrome ones the postable end sinking in to far when you press the nib end in I have heard the gun metal ones are a better quality that is why I ordered some from you just to see for myself
Personally I like the non postable

Love the idea, both the choice of postable and non postable caps and if you can get a thread as good as the Omega then you could have another winner. The Omega's i have made all receive feed back on the smoooooth twisting.:thumbs:

I like the smooth action of the metal thread so that is a YES from me.

I'd prefer metal on the cap insert, that's where all my failures have been.

Phil,

The timberbits kit is the most, but not only, guilty party in this instance and as there are several sources of this kit it would be a tad unfair to tar all with the same brush. I have had about fifteen failures over the last eighteen months but having bought from rizheng have to report no cap insert failures at all.

Dan,

IMHO I don't believe the design needs changing, it just needs to get back to what the kit was good at, metal threads, plated to the same colour as the rest of the kit.

Simples... But I understand if you need to change things for copyright issues..

Definitely, only reason I stopped doing the Jr Gent about two years ago is that the plastic threads are awful - Look nasty and not smooth. So big yes on similar thread design to Omega and non postable option good too:thumbs:
