Another acrylic done today, this time a Jr Gent, this kit was heap of junk too. First the clip fell off, the threads are a load of crap, I will be checking where it came from & having a word or two. :vangry: (its not from Dan or TB)

Anyway, I feel the turning is ok & the finish but just not happy about having to use 2 kits to make one pen, although I now have a few spares. :thinks::thinks:

Why are you people still buying these kits after all that has been said about them.
It beggars belief to me, really does, if they don't sell they will have to listen and shape up init?

Although you had to use 2 kits, you've finished up with a lovely pen Billy.

Bought these early on in my pen making career, before I realised that some of you lot on here talk some sense :whistling::whistling:

I have had Jr Gents from both TB & Dan that are fine with no problems but also from this batch used today about 6 out of 10 I have had problems with, not sure why I used them today, I still have some from TB & Dan that are fine.

Even Woody has given up with them and he is the oldest die-hard we have init?
He was making pens before ink was discovered.

Nice looking pen. Where does the pen stand come from? Hoping to go to local craft fair here in Shetland and planning to take some pens.

Many thanks for info. New to forum and pen turning but gives me yet another excuse to escape to the garage!

Really nice looking pen and thanks for the info on the pen stand

:thumbs:Vic:thumbs:

Don't start using one of them stands for your photos they are awful, the caps always look like they are falling over and you will have to learn how to get the nib and the bottom finial in focus at the same time.

That's a real beauty billy. Shame about the problems. I really wish I could buy these with confidence as I really like them as a finished pen.But hey ho.
