I made this earlier, it's a JR Gent from Dan, but I'm not sure what the wood is. It's and offcut I bought at Snainton for £2 some time ago. It cut up into 7 decent blanks, but I can't think what it is. I'm sure it had LB written on it, so I'm thinking Laburnum burr, but I'm sure one of you might know better.

The upgrade kits are now back in stock. I am also in the process of developing my 'jr gent 3' but this won't be till the new year.

I am not sure I am up to date with your 3 is it a based on the 1 or the 2?

I have sent off a Jr gent 2 ie metal threads without the black ban but have asked the possibility of using the Omega thread.
