I understand how you feel, I was working up your way last year and the company put me in a cheap hotel in a nice area of Liverpool.
I wanted a smoke screen to hide behind as soon as I pulled up in the car park.
Sign on the wall "EMPTY YOUR VEHICLE OR IT WILL BE EMPTIED FOR YOU".
Receptionist was a big burly security guard sitting behind bullet proof glass.
Later I asked where can I get a beer around here, "we used to have a pub but it got burned down in the riots and hasn't been rebuilt".
I won't bore you with much more of my stay, suffice to say even the most outgoing personality would be reduced to a jabbering wreck after a short stay of their hospitality init?
