Are they any good and how easy is it to get parts seeing as they do not make them anymore.

I've got a kitty combination machine and its a fantastic bit of kit. There's a good thread on ukworkshop about the 439, suggest that you have a look over there. Parts are obtainable but expensive.

Bought it for £200
Did not have the chip guard on it, rigged up my suction unit to the machine but will need a good Brush to pick up the rest of the chippings..
Not as noisy as i thought it would be, well pleased.

Moving into my new house and workshop next week eventually , cant bloody wait
This will be a welcome addition to my new workshop.

Nice one Johnny, I don't use my planer/thicknesser that much but when I need it nothing else will do.

Good luck with the move.

I don't think you'll regret it, looks like a good buy for the price.

I used to sell Kity machines in the 80s and all but the little K5 / Bestcombi were trade rated machines.

My main p/t is a Robland. but also have a 25 year old K5 that's worked very hard over that time and taken everything I could throw at it including a lot of very rough hardwood though the little 6 x 4 p/t. Also have an ancient spindle Kity spindle moulder that;s built like a brick s**thouse.
