Here’s a few photos of some of the pens that I’ve turned from a selection of our new label / image cast blanks, the photos don’t really do them justice as the acrylic is polished to quite a high shine, but they look quite flat in the photos, also I think I turned the blanks a bit premature, after removing them from the pressure pot, should get a realy high shine on them if I’d have left the blanks to fully cure for a couple more days.

I know the photos are a bit busy, but they are photos we’re planning on putting online to sell the pens & wanted potential customers to see exactly what they would be getting, any constructive criticism greatly appreciated.

PS I hope I haven’t broken some sort of taboo, by showing the seams on the labels :winking:

I like them Paul.
I was wondering how you disguised the seam.

Dave

Yeah me too lol, as no one else ever seems to show the seam, which I think is pretty important if you buy a pen online & there’s a great bit bloody seam at the back of it. Obviously a lot of the seem is hidden by the clip, but there is still a section that isn’t, we try to pick images where the seems blend in together quite nicely, some of our blanks you can hardly see the seem.

Nicely done Paul, they look great. Do you have to seal each end before the wet &dry, and if so with what?
