I've often admired Jim's slimline pens where he discards the kits centre band & uses another material so whilst gluing up a few bits last week I glued a small off cut of Blackwood to a Laburnum blank.
I like how not using the centre band allows for a thicker slimline that doesn't have a strangled waist, this won't be the last I make like this, finished with friction polish & Hutt wax.

What took you so long .. :whistling: Great shape to it Doug, personally i would reduce the band, just my opinion my friend .. :thumbs:
