Lovely bit of Laburnum, crying out to be turned into a pen. The grain and colouring is amazing.

Very nice pen Rowdy with a super finish .. This has got to be some of the best Laburnum i have seen on a pen my friend .. :thumbs:

Rowdy, thats Laburnum plus mate you captured it well and made a first class pen with it. The sapwood flows into the heartwood beautifully.

Not only is that a smashing pen Rowdy with a beautiful piece of timber, but its also give me an idea for a piece of wood I've had hanging around for ages :thumbs::thumbs:

Nice! A lesson for those of us who cut our own blanks: there's not just twoptions - with the grain or X-cut. 45 degrees to the grain can be superb and this pen proves it!

Well I've seen some turning porn in my life but that is up there with it Rowdy. The best piece of wood ever.
