Take a guess
A Laburnum gun metal slimline left a little thicker than I normally do.
Instead of a CA finish that I usually apply I went for a coat of cellulose sanding sealer, burnished with burnishing cream, 4 coats of friction polish, burnished again with the burnishing cream & finally a coat of microcrystalline wax.

I'm pleased with the finish I've achieved & will use this pen to see how it holds up.

A photo of the back, this really was a nice blank with lovely grain.

Is it national Laburnum Day. Lovely pen and it is indeed a good finish.

I'm intrigued by the use of burnishing cream on top of friction polish.

I thought that would only work on a "hard" finish like a lacquer ?

I do like the pen by the way, looks good for having been left a little thicker.
