Hi Flexi thank you for your help I have made Celtic knot pens with just a coke can using a scroll saw but recently have been making Celtic knots with ebony and like the contrast especially if the body of the pen is made of a lighter colour like oak. I recently saw this video of a turner using this laminate and thought how much easier it seemed without having to laminate it yourself would be grateful if you could find a supplier. Good idea with the plectrums although it would be a conflict of interest here as I have 6 guitars to feed plectrums to:love_it:

Try looking for pick guard or scratchguard material from luthier suppliers. It can be had in 3 layer sheets. The only thing to watch for is sometimes the layers are not even thicknesses. IE Black, white, thin black. There has to be suppliers on your side of the water. WD® Custom Pickguards Material Details They are plastic throughout so if you want metal layers you'll have to make them. I have a piece of a sheet here somewhere and it is within a thou or two of a thin kerf table saw blade thick.

That's laminated sandwich board. Any sign maker will have some in stock, and you may even be able to get some offcuts from one of them.

Hi has anyone come across or purchased these sheets from a supplier in the UK I tried to order them from the USA but they want $34 for postage for 2 sheet worth $10 :-

Mr Dart has hit the nail on the head for you..

Have a look at this UK site, they sell laminated sheets for laser and CNC sign making.

I brought the sample swatch off them a couple of years ago to have a look at doing some laser cut signs. Never cantered that way in the end. Grandson played and cut up most of the samples or I would send you some. (The bits left wouldn’t have done a very slim slimline…:rolling: otherwise I would have been trying it.

There is another supplier that I brought off that did double sided laminate, will have to drain my brain (or look through all my receipts :rolling) to see if I can find it for you. May not be for a few weeks as we have Christmas madness coming up and a few craft fairs as well.
