Australian Hardwoods are beautiful in grain and texture and rich in colour

from Western Australia Jarrah, Karri & Marri all turn beautifully and make single wood pens are highly prized at artisan markets

from South Australia locally we have Red Gum and  River Red Gum both turn into interesting pens

The other states all have interesting timbers varying with the climate and soil

I must get a series of photos to post showing some Aussie timbers in 1 timber pens
