Stunning piece of wood Vic, but it looks just a little overturned at the clip end mate..

Looks to be Just a little step.

But finished nicely, and kit matches well.

Two things Vic first beautiful picture and second exciting blank and turning I am well overjudging others turning to top and bottom with respect Eamonn as I am with design in general. Yesterday I sent another gift to Sydney and I am certain the rare Huon Pine pen with a part hexagon cap end will be observed but not understood technically. Together with the burl cap and golf club, the base I made flat then covered with adhesive velvet (black) from Bunnungs. Isay this because I normally make the base so flat and finished you could see you face reflected in it. The brief moment of this savoured by us then over it goes forever.

Stunning Pen Vic.

Peter.

Just been and had a good look at it Eamonn as you rightly point out it looks a bit overturned at the clip end. Whether or not it is the lighting or cast shadows it is spot on in real life. Anyhow regardless of the photo I have just sold it. The guys on here who taught me how to take a decent photo have a lot to answer for it certainly shows the slightest defect in what you produce.

I say what I see Peter, with the greatest respect my friend this is a pen turning forum and not a photography one.

I understand that the picture needs to be right so we can see it, but composition and look of the picture really don't matter to me.

What does matter as I give a fair and just reply to what I see, if not then in my opinion there is no point in saying anything.

Surely great pen, superb looker or well done is what we all want to hear but in reality if the is a problem I would sooner hear constructive comments.

if anyone doesn't want comments, positive or negative then I will shut up. Sign out and not bother logging in again.

Simple..

Vic, no worries, sometimes even a "gnats cock" can show up in a picture that is close up and crystal clear.

Eamonn I speak of myself mate not for you I grew up in an environment of critical observation I have shed that for was made necessary because my Dad was diagnosed obsessive compulsive and I was heading that way. Send me a pm with your phone number mate.

Happy for your comments your way this I respect I have backed off for the above reason.

Just delivered two pens across the road to Chinese friends spoke with their daughter in China who has perfect English on we chat I think she said I gave up on Skype it became as annoying as a virus would be.

Sorry if it seemed like I was picking on you, not so explaining my thoughts only. Love the forum. Merry Christmas etc to you and yours Eamonn.

Peter.
