I do not think I had shown this one here but it was the last pen I produced out of my shop. Hopefully soon I will be able to get back and finish a few more. Anyway this is a first for me. I never used the Zen kit but I bought a few to try. This is the one with the magnetic cap. I am not too sure I like the kit. There are a few things that worry me. But have to say the barrel is long enough to be able to show off those special blanks.

This one is BOW with black acrylic accent lines and rings. Finished with 6 coats of med CA. Thanks for looking and as always any comments or questions are always welcomed.

That's really nice and up to you usually high standard there Jon. The kit looks really nice,

I have seen them in the flesh and would only say they feel a little awkward when writing and I thought the nib felt short and the square end didn't feel quite right.. Having said that they are a good quality pen and you have done it justice,.

I like the look of these kits but not sure they would be comfortable to use but very well made.

Once again beautiful workmanship ... from a users point of view I don't think the kit looks very ergonomic.

An absolutely lovely pen John. I love the segmenting and the pen in one piece but I'm not sure how comfortable it looks with the top off. I'm sure that this will sell well.

Lovely work and a great combination of wood and acrylic, John. I never liked the look of the Zen, but as you say it's got a nice long barrel for showing off this kind of work.

Yes Jim, I used my router jig setup to get the inlayed acrylic in. It gives me exact spacing. In the future I am going to try some stave work in this type design. I want to try to incorporate that with some turned ornaments that I want to work on for next years Christmas shows. I just about sold out of my little birdhouse ornaments that I make this year. Those are always fun to make. If I want to post photos of other things I make such as these birdhouses and other scrollsawn clocks and things where would be the right forum??? Thanks.

I would also love to see your other items John, if you could place them in the "Other Things We Turn" forum it would be great ...
