Latest turning in progress

As I have been quiet lately and wanting to get over the shock of turning a pen I decided to start another turned project this is just to show the progress so far it has not got a name but is more of a make it up as I go.

The first part is turned and ready to be turned around and finished before starting to cut it up for the next stage.

While doing this I thought I will start two bowls which when finished I will post in the bowl section but a quick picture of them rough turned just as a tease.

A little more done to this project. Centre now removed and a little tidying up and sanding I now have two identical pieces, this gives me a spare if I need it if not will make it into something similar.

Getting this far has taken nearly three day mainly due to waiting for the glue to set and then turning to near exact sizes.
