That’s my new lathe cabinet finished, I’m sick to death of making & installing drawers, might be able to find time to do a bit of turning now ?

Don’t know yet Peter, I’ve only just bought it & have no experience of engineering lathes, a friend of mine who is very experienced has just bought one a few weeks ago and he seems to be impressed by it after a good clean up & a few adjustments etc
Now that looks neat & tidy Paul. Nice lathe.

You will need all of those spaces and really handy to have them beforehand. Ripper ideas incorporated in your design.

I have pretty much the same lathe (the Sieg SC4) and I love it. I had to make a few adjustments as you say.
Im not sure if you’ve seen this but it’s an excellent document by Bob Ackert that recommends some improvements and other useful info. It may be that not all of it applies to the Axminster badged version as they may have already made some of the improvements, (such as having a wing nut rather than a hex nut on the case door for example), but it may be of interest.

That's almost a piece of furniture Paul, love it.
Can I make a suggestion though? Maybe make a removable front or hang a plastic curtain in front of the drawers when using the lathe or they'll fill up with sharp curly bits of metal usually oily stuff if using cutting fluid. I only have a little Cowells watchmakers lathe but its surprising how much mess I can make.
