Took for ever to get this far but at last I have my lathe set up, not in my workshop ( still got to build that) but in my loft/ gunroom , I am resisting the urge to crack on but decided to leave it till tomorrow as i need to get the blanks perfectly square and drill through perfectly central, as I dont have a pen mill at the moment
Got it set up with the pen mandrell and revolving tailstock and slimline tubes, so tomorrow is cut and drill blanks (teak) then start to turn my first pen, and if all goes well , sanding sealer and a melamine finish

Many thanks to Craig ( cumbriancraig) for giving me a great deal and holding on to the lathe for ages till I got things together,

You would think I would get used to pics like this but no I am not. So in the best of all worlds on trust I like your attitude and haste. Have success ...........

Good to see your ready to go Ray. You don’t mess about, you only picked it up on Wednesday evening. Very best of luck and enjoy yourself

Regards

Hospital appointments for me in Dundee then off to Perth for mrs hospital appointment on thursday sorta slowed me down, but as we were in the area stopped off at Brodies timber to pick up the chestnut melamine and sanding sealer + new bandsaw blade so it was not a wasted day
Cheers
