Under the sale of goods act goods are expected to last a reasonable amount of time realative what you pay for them irrespective of the 1 year guarantee so Charnwood are in the wrong here,I would say most retailers just fob people off and hope they will just go away which is what most people do so stand your ground Gill you are in the right here.
