Layered nativity scene

Hi All,

This is a Steve Goode pattern.
I used Walnut, Mahogany, Obeche, American white Ok and Alumilite resin.

Very enjoyable project.

Well done Paul. The pattern is quite nice.

Do you have problems starting a new blade in a cut after a broken blade? I have a solution and will post a pic tomorrow. I have owned 2 Hegner scroll saws. You will eventually fatigue the blade holder screw. The screw will actually streach and lose its ability to tighten. You must replace the screw before it breaks inside the clamp. You should replace the skate key with the knurled knob. It's much easier to chg blades.

Hi Terry,

I only use the key to change broken or replace worn blades. Having a knurled thumb screw on the arm is a definite.

Showed your video to Wilma she makes these using card material,admires as I do the Scroll Saw work.I gave her five saws including a Hegner forever ago as well as purpose built shed etc. One day she presented them back to me after years of enjoyment.
