Merry Christmas to you all and I wish you a prosperous and productive 2019.

Managed to pinch a Zephyr kit off Kelvin  I'm sure he wont mind as I am making him a leather apron for the workshop :face:
Anyway, I made myself a leather-bound pen along with a leather notebook cover.
I tooled/stamped 1.2mm veg tanned leather, then dyed it with Fiebings Oxblood dye. Top and bottom edges were then beveled & burnished. Tiny metallic silver pen dots were added here and there to 'bling' it up a bit  (Not sure how long these dots will stay on so its a bit of a test)
Stitch holes were added, I then wrapped it around the brass tube with a bit of contact adhesive to hold it in place while I cross-stitched it together using black waxed polyester thread.

I wasn't sure if the chrome colour would go with the oxblood but is seems to work ok.

That looks great Christine.
The oxblood does go with the chrome. Lovely tool work and stitching too

Really happy you came back on the pages Christine your groundbreaking first ones retained as strong memories before.

Simply beautiful work and demonstrating great skill and application.

Any sacrifice losing pens to your good lady is valued by me.

Kind regards for Christmas and the New Year to you both.

Peter and Wilma.
