Hi guys,
so busy, but just finished two of the Leveche pens from Beaufortinks. Dressed in Blue Mahoe wood, thanks to Dave. The original wood came from a tree that got blown down in 1972, due to a hurricane passing over the Dominican Republic.
The wood turned well and polished better using sealer and wax.
I think the bluish/purple tint goes well with the chrome pen kit. The photos does not give the colour of this wood justice.
The pen is the first I have done, I found it very easy to put together and in all a very nice pen kit. Well done Phil for another winner!

Kelvin it is great to look for pen blanks that display colour or classy grain. This display of your pens proves the point, now to see an open ball point as well as the fountain pen.

Peter.

I'm delighted you like the kit Kelvin. The wood is not one I've heard of before - I had to look it up. A great looking pair.
