Leveche with Beaufort upgrade nib in Mahogany

Hi guys, really like this kit, looks and feels premium. First time I've used it and the upgrade nib. I had to assemble the nib section myself and I can see it needs to go in further, what's the best way to push it in without damaging it?

The Leveche is my go to FP kit, but if you think it premium, wait till you try the Mistral .....
As to your leveche, very nice.... my preferred shape too and nice finish.... Keep them coming. There is a sequence to follow when asembling fountain pens ( not needed on this one, but if you have spalted or pictured blanks) it ensures the placement of the nib, clip and grain alignment when assembled or cap posted.... I read it on here a few years ago and tbh I thought what a faff, but it's just a few steps and it makes a big difference.

Hi Dougie,
Lovely looking pen.Strangely enough I finished two Leveche today,also with the upgrade nib.Re the housing,it should screw in so that its nice and flush with the section.It might need the feed and nib pushing in a little further.NOTE the inside of the housing has a very small flat that the feed engages with.Look very closely and you will see it.Hope this helps.Do NOT try to push the housing into the section,you may ruin the threads.

Yes the Mistral is my go to, and I want to be able to offer a postable fountain pen and I think this has to be the one. I have read up on alignment but happy I didn't need to bother with the mahogany :-)

All sorted now I hope.The Leveche really is a classy kit.I too wanted a postable cap as some people want postable,others do not.This gives the choice.I have also made the rollerball version,also very nice.
