Yesterday I used two lights one either side then those two plus an overhead light that gives a familiar light strip down the pen. Just to point out the difference I try never bto get carried away when I see a Pen Picture using it to judge the degree of polished surface. Just by the way this pen has a brilliant finish on it. I am having a bummer of a time with white balance and my old Camera.

Certainly did the trick Peter, the photo shows all the attributes the viewer could wish to see :thumbs::thumbs:

I use a similar setup myself :thinks::thinks:

Of course it also helps if you have managed to make such a stunning pen as this is, great job done :thumbs:

I normally leave white balance on auto and then alter it if needed in LightRoom afterwards. I use a Pentax these days and don't have much trouble with WB but my two old Canons were terrible at rendering grass in a decent shade of green!
