So my son and his family came over today and he joined me in the workshop and turned his first pen. He’s never played with a lathe before- but he’s a natural I reckon! It was great to have some lad and dad time together and he is now a pen turner 👍 result! Pics show him at work and the result of his labours 😀

That's very impressive as a first pen, it must be the work of a good teacher... I can see he also took the front down further, a much more pleasing shape.
Very well done.... He should be a more frequent visitor 👍🏻👍🏻

Yes I encouraged him to be brave when taking the shape down to the nib😄 bit of my own medicine!
