At last a Cigar that I'm happy with. London Plane finished with 10 coats of ca and then Autoglym.

Rugged looking grain mate must be interesting to smooth its a success in my book and I agree could pass for Palm as well.

looks a good un Paul well done you for conquering the cigar kit London plane is nothing like palm it is a nice smooth texture it is probably only the angle of the photo it is also known as lace wood

That is so much better Paul now it looks like lacewood / Londonplane you have even managed to make the cigar kit look good I just wish they would change that awful clip

Ooo, that's quite nice, I have a lump of London Plane courtesy of that nice man Mr Lawton.

Looks a bit bland in a lump, but may be more tempted to give it a go on its own now, was thinking of using it for Celtics or some other segmenting.
