Phil, i see that you are selling 12” long tubes, these are very handy to have knocking about, is there some small pipe cutters available to cut the tubes to size? :thinks:

Be aware when cutting with pipe cutter some will leave a rim on the inside of the tube which will need to be sorted before glueing into a blank. Model shops sometimes have the small cutters as well as brass tubing

Yep, that's right Derek,

If you use the end mill type for squaring then glue the tubes in place and file the Inside with a small round file before squaring them.

There it is Jim. I confess that although I stock the tubes, I'm just a s interested in the guys' answers above as you are. Glad you've spotted the long length tubes - the range will be expanding over the next coning weeks and months. Long length Omegas and Baron/Sedona have just been added. Long length new size Jr Gent are on the way.

I made a jig up to cut them on my metal lathe using a dremel with a thin blade.

Sounds familiar mate so did I use my device for the Hercus I designed for cutting grooves in rods to take circlips as well I will take a pic of it shortly.
