Look what I found hidden in some logs. I have just finished cutting up the logs into squares and put them through my thicknesser to get them nice and flat as the chainsaw does not always cut square. I will now cut them on the bandsaw into rounds where needed, could not do them today as the blade is totally knackered and I am waiting for a couple of new ones. The end grain is sealed with emulsion paint and paper as a temporary measure.
I have about 17 like this here are just three of them, Some great grain on these should make some nice bowls when dry.
