Looking For An Alternitive To Melamine!

I searching for an alternative to melamine, which is not available in Aust.

I came across these two, are they same/similar?

I contacted Timbecon about freight and got this reply.

The first thing I thought was how the hell do they get it from the manufactures to their store?

The reason why it can't be sold on our website is because it can't be shipped by road freight.

Hi Mark, can you get Truoil?? It's a gunstock finish and I've had good results with it

Flexi I have found that oil does not keep for very long so it would definitely go off in 4 litre containers at great cost,I agree its a great finish. A family member of mine for many years in the UK used to dissolve the material in its thinners to acheive a Melamine finish for his pens.
