Hi,

its my first post so be gentle :-) I have been the same these last four months. my garage isn't heated and is full of caravan stuff.

I mainly use wood blanks from all over the world really, nice rosewoods and mainly hard woods.

Have also made lots of acrylic pens that I give to people at work, also made quite a few that i give to charity's ( they make the most difference to me and my mental health) why don't you make half a dozen pens and give them to a charity that means alot to you or a loved one ??

My last give away was a slimline fancy ( i know im going to get ribbed but i do like making them) and i used a Erinoid Aspen pen blank i got from TTW. it went for £20 i think which dosent sound much but it was £20 to a local charity didnt have.

Basically im saying to try some pens for charity mate, it gives you that incentive to go in your shed/garage and just make some.

one of my last i made five pens out of rosewoods inc Cocobolo, sonokeling, african blackwood, king wood and a Irish bogoak. All premium woods i know but they went to help a Charity to do with PTSD. it gives you a buzz Tom.

Just try making 1.

L
