Fishermans Priest in Walnut

First thing made that isn't a pen - no plan just sort of doing it by eye but I hope he'll be pleased with it. Didn't know what to finish it with but remembered Phil Dart talking about melamine so had a go with that

The fish will be jumping out of the water just to be dispatched with such a nice Priest. Looks great well turned and finished will be a shame to use it

That's probably less of a problem than you might think Derek - we spend most of the time looking at the water :sob::sob:

Very nice priest, just in time for the end of the trout season too, although I guess this will find more use on stillwaters these days.

Very nice looking priest.
Better looking than the walking ones around here.
I have made a few to what the fisher wanted and they had a heavier head.
Must have to do with african (fish) heads. A lot thicker so need a heavier whack.
