Start with a set of guitar strings. Cut them in half and you will have 2 sets of wire burners. Construction lumber 1" sq x 3" long makes the handles. Drill a couple 1/8" holes to thread the wire through. Trap the wire in the holes with a plug made from bamboo Shish Kabob skewers. Sharpen the bamboo on a sander and use the wire cutters to make 5/8"-3/4" long plugs. Practice your skew skills making the handles. I only used the 4 smallest strings.

I'll see you all on another planet somewhere init?
We have been through this before and had the row about wrapping knuckles etc.
I don't gonna go there on this one suffice to say I use Woody's method and never had a mishap.
Poundland Jnr hacksaw and a bit of wire, or the edge of a Formica strip.
