Exactly what you've described. It wobbles about when it's turning. The three most likely causes are bent shaft, worn bearing, or dirt in the quill/mis-fiited deadcentre. The last one is easy to overcome but the other two would probably mean it is cheaper and easier to replace your lathe. I notice there is another thread from you this morning about new lathes, which I haven't read yet, but I'm guessing you've reached that conclusion too.
