A new one for me here is a Manhattan kit with a Ghost Gum blank.

The pen kit was from Pen Kits Direct (PKD) with Chrome plating
Ghost Gum an Australian timber that was from Mark (WM460) over a couple of years ago. Finally getting to do some turning of my own for a change.:love_it:
Finish - Friction polish.

Not sure if anyone has done one of these kits before but I will do a small review of the it later when I get back in from the cave.

Ghost of penkits past and present. On one of our consistent drives there is a row of ghost gums that are prolific burl producers.

Good to see this kit, timber pen made by you Eamonn.

You've done a good turning job on that Eamonn, I'm not sure about the kit.

I'm not either John..

I first saw this kit in the hand around 6 years or so ago but wasn't impressed with the look of the clip so didn't buy any, I still aren't impressed with it either.

Our friends over the pond have been using it since around 2011 so will have a better idea of reliability with it. maybe they will give us some feedback.

I like the pen and to be honest I quite like the look of the kit although I don't recall having seen one in the flesh so to speak.

I rather like the look of the kit - of course seeing it in the flesh may be a different matter.

Nicely made Eamonn
