I had an African friend who moved to where I live contracted people from his village in Africa to make biro pens with carved people Elephants Rhinos etc etc sold them at a market in Ebony I used to buy a handful at a time cut them in half and use the top half hollowed out with a Dremel hand held insert a Slim brass in the top and make the bottom conventionally with my Ebony they made exquisite gifts. He brought in heavy rubbish carved stuff hardly touched just for me to get the Ebony.

Found a few old pics thought I would show you when you see something you get that itch to change it when you get the Pen disease. Pics of finished pens in the ether somewhere buried in a cloud.

Beautiful, Peter! Yet more examples of native art! Thanks for showing them - they put everything back in perspective.

Bob.
