Thanks Brian, but hang on, I'll go and get the CMM to answer that, I think its more like I can't do anything right :funny:

I learned from Woody that its best not to put the concave bit in.

Paul, Two things on my mind when I view your beautiful Pen one is i loved the Masur Birch blank and your treatment of it and I would never put the Mochas on that kit using the name Concavia means just that a lovely way to transition the blank from top to bottom, heck for anyone to change that why not buy another kit. The centre band is IMHO totally proper on all pens, making a centre band of anything else is great also. There is a pen design for everyone but Mr and Mrs Everyone else identifies a pen AS I LIKE THAT ONE what that one is is an individual choice. When I view your work I value the fact that it is made the way it is presented in this case full marks mate.

When on another post you showed us an other acheivement not so long back your house and fish pond they were major acheivements also outstanding friend.

Kind regards Peter.:thumbs::thumbs::bravo::bravo:

Ooooooo that's nice, very nice, very very nice.

Love that wood, still got some laying around somewhere.

That kit actually looks quite nice when done without the concave.

Just found out the price of that kit £6.99 - bit steep?

It is a bit pricey Neil but it is a quality kit. The clip is spring loaded and the tubes are pre-roughed up (if thats worth paying for) although I don't ever rough mine up. I like the kit and have paid more for other kits that I've not like so much.

The design should have a concave top Peter but Woody made some and they looked a lot better with it straight.
