Neil you gave that end grain a rush,difficult to acheive the beaut result you have. My understanding is growth rings do not form the same way with growth all the year where the trees come from. Very resilient timber when used over here outside and for decking superb.

I do like the shape of that Neil, well done, but the finish seems lacking somehow
It's actually quite shiney Keith but it dosn't show so well in the photo due to light reflections.
