That's the way I'd go about it, I've tried the microwave method with some success on smaller blanks, but it don't think it's worth the effort.

Then again if you've got plenty of cedar might be worthwhile trying it on one blank just for the experience oh & the dogging you get when the lady wife comes home & you've stunk the house out
