I see you have used 3 colours to make these beautiful pens, how many pens do you think you can get out of the three packets, thanks
I'd say at a push you'd get 4 maybe 5 blanks out of 3 packs. I made them about 20mm and about 110 long to give a bit of leeway for squaring up the end. If I mixed it and wrapped around the tubes to save drilling it might save a bit but maybe not a lot.
On a slimline you would not save much, but wraping something like a sierra or larger pens you would only use half the amount,I would mount the tube on the lathe with correct spacers and wet the spacers to stop it sticking and give you correct
size, then go for it , btw what did you use for the finish ??
Cheers

If you wrapped the tube with enough depth to turn back to the bushings you would get 20 x more out of three packs.I'd say at a push you'd get 4 maybe 5 blanks out of 3 packs. I made them about 20mm and about 110 long to give a bit of leeway for squaring up the ends.
