Found a couple of Empress kits i forgot about and made this Empress out of Purple Heart.
Friction polish and renaissance wax finish

just looked at it, you are right , it is slightly not flush with the bottom finial will sort that out tomorrow.

Looks very well made Johnny, i like the shape of this one also .. Looks like the Renaissance wax has done a good job, like Matty's pens you can see the glaze it leaves ..

I will be using it for all my pens , not a big fan of CA finish .
