hello folks

here is something totally new to me, a piece of antler on a box wood base
I'm not very good a spindle turning as I just don't practice it enough and maybe the base could have been slightly thinner stem to look in keeping with the thin edge of the antler???
it measures 2 1/4" wide by 1 3/4" tall

Never in my wildest would I have said Antler it is fine enough and very well constructed with a difficult material attached to the base seamlessly.

Like it simply special George.

Peter.

Could be a pinch thinner but it really looks ok. Nice little piece. I turned antler once. Just about puked from the smell. Never again.

Here in Florida, the deer are about the size of a large dog so I guess I would have to find some from Up north.
